Carroll Shelby was an American automotive designer, racing driver, and entrepreneur. He is best known for his involvement with the AC Cobra and Mustang for Ford Motor Company, as well as his later creation of the Shelby GT500. He was also the founder of Shelby American, a manufacturer of high performance cars and parts.
