The three toughest fighters I ever fought were Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Robinson and Sugar Ray Robinson. I fought Sugar so many times, I'm surprised I'm not diabetic.
-
I made a gym, it's the best gym in Nicaragua, I have kids that this year July 6th through the 11th will be fighting and then will go on to the Central American Games and I'm sure at least one will win a gold medal.
-
I was standing on the deck of the USS Blue, a destroyer.
We were all alone out there at this buoy, tied up.
-
The gunner's mate came up and started breaking the locks on the ammunition.
Everything was locked up for fear that someone might go in there with a cigarette or something.
-
Just live every day like it's your last day and be the best person that you can be.
-
The fight life, that was easy. This is a battle I have every day.
-
To be the best you have to work overtime.
-
I'm a firm believer that before you can go anywhere, you have to conquer the level that you are at, just like young kids do it today with video games, they have to finish one level to go to the next one. Conquer one level at the time, and only then you'll get where you want to go to.
-
I know how I could beat myself: by not being disciplined, by slacking, by not dedicating myself to my craft, by not working hard, by not listening, by thinking I know it all - short like that.
-
Sometimes, people say certain things about me that are negative, but that's no problem. I try to take their negative and turn it to a positive. That's why I like to surround myself with positive people.
-
Every fighter should really do that if they can, because if you build a fan base at home first, then once they receive you at home, it'll be easier to be received elsewhere.
-
I've been giving a little gamble on the roulette and just sitting having a coffee with the fans, chatting away.
-
My spirituality is more private. I've got my own personal relationship with god. I know that there's a god because I was able to survive everything that I've been through - all of the tough times - and I'm still at the top of my game. With all the rumors and all the hate, I'm still strong, still happy, still blessed.
-
I don't feel that no fighter has the mental or physical agility to match Floyd Mayweather.
-
All we had aboard the ship that morning was one Annapolis graduate and three reserves.
-
Just swerve Golovkin like the plague.
He punches like a mule. I don't need to be in with him. Dangerous fight.
-
I'm quite shocked by the recent British media stories about an alleged brawl between myself and Dereck Chisora. I am a professional prize fighter and let my fists do the talking only inside the ring. I don't want to comment on Chisora's psychological issues.
-
I don't fold under pressure, great athletes perform better under pressure, so put pressure on me.
-
I watched a TV documentary about how animals are farmed, killed and prepared for us to eat. I saw all those cows and pigs and realized I couldn't be a part of it any more. It was horrible. I did some research to make sure I could still obtain enough protein to fight and, once satisfied that I could, I stopped. I'll never go back.
-
My birthday was Monday, now I finally get to go home and enjoy it with some Burger King. Here I come baby! Burger King! Burger King!
-
I'll fight Lloyd Honeyghan for nothing if the price is right.
-
This fight is more about what Roy Jones lost than what I took
-
I don't watch cricket much but I admire Sachin Tendulkar.
I like the way he has conducted himself over the years. He has been such a huge star for so long but has not had a single controversy against his name.
-
It's a lot about the individual and it's really up to you, how much you dedicate to the fight and how hard you are working and that's where the outcome will come.
-
You can't go into the ring and be a nice guy.
I would go a month, two months, without having sex. It worked for me because it made me a vicious animal. You can't fight if you have any compassion or anything like that.
-
Fame is cool but I believe in success.
-
Ain't no boundaries, ain't no limits.
-
I fought Sugar [Ray Robinson] so many times that I'm lucky I didn't get diabetes
-
In my whole career, I've never really gotten hurt. The only ones that really hurt me were my wives.
-
I think my dad, when he works with my older son, puts the same kind ofpressure on him that he put on me - that perfectionist pressure. And that can work in two ways: It can make you a perfectionist yourself, or it can eventually break you in the long run.
-
It's about being smart, taking your time, keeping your composure, just going out there and being the best that you can be
-
After doing an honest evaluation of myself, I recognize that there are certain issues that I need to work on. Like everyone, I have my flaws, and I do not want to be one of those people that is afraid to admit and address those flaws.
-
You know, as a young child, I lay in my bedroom and I swore to myself then: 'I'm not going to smoke and I'm not going to drink.' And I said I'm not going to just say that when I'm a kid. I'm going to stick to that as an adult. I kept that in mind my whole life.
-
Hey baby. You're sexy like a chocolate strawberry.
-
Even though I had a rough life I always had my mind on bigger and better things.
-
People pay to see blood, they pay to see war and that's why people are supporting my journey because I deliver every time I step in the ring.
-
It was a natural process, because when we go to the ring we are human beings, but once you feel the punches and the competition that's when the beast comes out and takes hold of us.
-
Hard work, dedication!
-
There comes a time when money doesn't matter.
-
I want to be able to look at myself in the mirror and know I took everyone on.
-
When you are around people who have money, you realise money isn't that impressive, it's about your class, morals and how you conduct yourself.
-
I think I went on a nice winning streak of about 20 fights until I fought Jorge Reyes and he stopped me in 6 rounds after I punched myself out.
-
Love me or hate me...you're gonna watch me.
-
Bob arum is Manny Pacquiao's boss, Floyd Mayweather is his own boss.
-
The best feeling is to win by knockout.
-
On the way here this guy steps up to us and says, 'Would you like to join Jehovah's Witnesses?' and Rocky (Graziano) says 'I didn't see nuttin!'
-
I would lie in bed, and I was nine years old, and say to myself: 'I want to be the richest man in the world.' I've come a long way from there.
-
After the atomic bombs were dropped, the war ended and we went into Tokyo Bay with the rest of the fleet, the Missouri and the rest of them, while they signed the terms of surrender that ended the war.
-
I had to get up run in the morning for 2 hours, go to the gym and also get good opponents as sparring partners because I'm a big believer in that how you train is how you will fight at least when it came to me that's how it worked.
-
I just got the will to win at life.
