Owen, in a sense, grew up on a diet of myth and fable, and has become an expert on their themes, which contain a moral guide that connects people.

I toyed with the idea of what it might be like to live with some species of heatstroke that maybe didn't go away all that quickly. He's a pirate, which is about rum, sodomy and the lash, isn't it? So, to be able to keep things like that in my head, when I'm going to do a film for Disney, I'd been through the ringer. That was like infiltrating the enemy camp. I wasn't able to stop smiling.


It's a certain kind of immortality, because those Disney films do go on and on and on.

It's the interaction between those characters that really makes that movie as special as it is, and I'm proud to say, as you probably know, it was the highest grossing film of 2012, it's the highest grossing film that Walt Disney has ever put out, and it's the third highest grossing film ever, in the world.

I've always been curious what the negotiation is because obviously there's certain movies that every film wants a trailer on, like Star Wars, and I don't know how Disney makes the decisions as to what it does and doesn't put on there.
