It's a weird scene. You win a few baseball games and all of a sudden you're surrounded by reporters and TV men with cameras asking you about Vietnam and race relations.
Thinking you're immortal is weirdly similar to being immortal.
It's weird not to be weird
It's going to be really weird when I'm 80 years old, in a walker, and people are still calling me America's sweetheart. We need a new one.
It was a weird mix of emotions. One day, your best friend could be killed. The day before, you could be celebrating him getting a brand-new bike.
I always felt as a kid that I was underappreciated, invisible or weird, but I've always secretly thought people would one day appreciate what is different about me. I'm always putting that message out there.
To be weird is... to be braved and to be strong and to be against the flow and that is wonderful condition.
I've always felt that if something is polarizing, that's usually the stuff I like the most. If something is taking a chance and is willing to be weird, that's my favorite thing. I know there's somebody out there who hates it.
There was a scene cut out of 'Big Fat Liar' (2002) where I had to wear a dress.
This may sound kind of weird, but I really enjoyed shooting that scene.
Everyone says I'm like the girl next door... Y'all must have really weird neighbors!
I'm still figuring out why people would want to look at me.
Maybe it's generic beauty, but it's weird to be valued for something I was born with.
Let us not be a society where honest in public equals weird.
At this point I've got a bit of a track record.
So people realize that when 'Weird Al' wants to go parody, it's not meant to make them look bad... it's meant to be a tribute.
For the first time, the weird and the stupid and the coarse are becoming our cultural norms, even our cultural ideal.
It is a little weird now, going over to Heath's place.
It's like, 'Hi Heath, hi Nomes.' Very strange!
Weird is a side effect of awesome.
Our lives are not as limited as we think they are;
the world is a wonderfully weird place; consensual reality is significantly flawed; no institution can be trusted, but love does work; all things are possible; and we all could be happy and fulfilled if we only had the guts to be truly free and the wisdom to shrink our egos and quit taking ourselves so damn seriously.
It never got weird enough for me.
It's weird, I never wish anything bad upon anybody, except two or three old girlfriends.
If I'm weird around you, It's because I'm comfortable
As I said, men value their independence in a weird way, above practically everything.
Nowadays, everybody wanna be weird. We know how to manifest being weird.
Where's your will to be weird?
You get weird and unsettling behaviour in the country.
Pregnant women! They had that weird frisson, an aura of magic that combined awkwardly with an earthy sense of duty. Mundane, because they were nothing unique on the suburban streets; ethereal because their attention was ever somewhere else. Whatever you said was trivial. And they had that preciousness which they imposed wherever they went, compelling attention, constantly reminding you that they carried the future inside, its contours already drawn, but veiled, private, an inner secret.
We are in the process of creating what deserves to be called the idiot culture.
Not an idiot sub-culture, which every society has bubbling beneath the surface and which can provide harmless fun; but the culture itself. For the first time, the weird and the stupid and the coarse are becoming our cultural norm, even our cultural ideal.
Language is political. That's why you and me, my Brother and Sister, that's why we supposed to choke our natural self into the weird, lying, barbarous, unreal, white speech and writing habits that the schools lay down like holy law. Because, in other words, the powerful don't play; they mean to keep that power, and those who are the powerless (you and me) better shape up --mimic/ape/suck --in the very image of the powerful, or the powerful will destroy you --you and our children.
Live life fully while you're here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You're going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don't try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.
When a woman is very, very bad, she is awful, but when a man is correspondingly good, he is weird.
