I'll do whatever it takes to win games, whether it's sitting on a bench waving a towel, handing a cup of water to a teammate, or hitting the game-winning shot.
-
Commitment is a big part of what I am and what I believe.
How committed are you to winning? How committed are you to being a good friend? To being trustworthy? To being successful? How committed are you to being a good father, a good teammate, a good role model? There's that moment every morning when you look in the mirror: Are you committed, or are you not?
-
Being a good teammate is when you try to sprint down a ball that everyone thinks is going out of bounds. But you go after it anyways and you get it.
-
Ask not what your teammates can do for you. Ask what you can do for your teammates.
-
Leadership is getting players to believe in you.
If you tell a teammate you're ready to play as tough as you're able to, you'd better go out there and do it. Players will see right through a phony. And they can tell when you're not giving it all you've got. Leadership is diving for a loose ball, getting the crowd involved, getting other players involved. It's being able to take it as well as dish it out. That's the only way you're going to get respect from the players.

I've never had a teammate competing with me my whole life.
-
I really do try hard to be a good teammate.
I can't run very fast, but I try to always run hard. I may strike out a lot, but I try to walk to set up the guys who are hitting after me.
-
I think that my career speaks for itself and shows the type of player I am.
I have never had a teammate who didn't enjoy playing with me. There are always going to be skeptics, but chemistry will definitely not be an issue.
-
Ask not what your teammates can do for you. Ask what you can do for your teammates.
-
You can tell your uncle stuff that you could not tell your dad.
That is kind of the role of an uncle. I feel very much like a father sometimes but sometimes I feel like a teammate.
-
I want to see a player on the football field.
I want to see what kind of teammate they are, what kind of leadership qualities they have. I want to see how aggressive they are, how much fun they have playing the game.
-
You shouldn't just work on your jump shot.
You should work on being a better person, a better teammate, and a better friend.
-
You talk about Shaq, I would put Tim Duncan in that same category.
Mr. Fundamental, just kept things simple. He is a great teammate, a great player, and a great person. When you have those ingredients in a champion, you just want to be a part of that and have an opportunity to play with him.
-
The ball touched the paint a lot of times.
When we talk about touching the paint, the ball touches the key for making a layup or making a play for a teammate. We've got to use our length and our speed. Defensively, getting deflections. Give up one shot and rebound.
-
I had three rules for my players: No profanity. Don't criticize a teammate. Never be late.
-
My game is really played above time. I don't say that like I'm saying I'm ahead of my time. I'm saying, like, if I'm on the court and I throw a pass, the ball that I've thrown will lead my teammate right where he needs to go, before he even knows that that's the right place to go to.
-
Just imagine how fast, innovative and excellent your business will be once every single teammate - from the janitor to the executive - begins to see themselves as the CEO of their own area of responsibility.
-
I get a feeling about where a teammate is going to be.
A lot of times, I can turn and pass without even looking.
