Mike Rounds is an American politician who is the current junior United States Senator from South Dakota. He is a member of the Republican Party and previously served as the 32nd Governor of South Dakota from 2011 to 2019. Rounds was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2014 and was re-elected in 2020.
