Sheila Jackson Lee is an American politician who has served as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 18th congressional district since 1995. She is a member of the Democratic Party and the Congressional Black Caucus. She is the first African American woman to have represented the 18th district and is the dean of the Texas congressional delegation.
